She died at 2 a.m. I was driving past work to get to the pool for some laps around noon-time. Stopped in just to check on her and maybe squeeze her hand one last time. She was gone. Her bed was stripped. The room contained not my friend Eddie, resting with a smooth brow, humming 02 canisetrs and concentrators, and pillows all `round, nice even breathing.....nope.

Several upright people, only 2 faces were reconizable, were in there. Her family are deserving of recognition for being there during this lady's last few days. They get a "good form", respect, and well-wishes for the future. Some of them had her huge, light blue eyes and slight frame. She lives in pieces within them.

It's so strange, tho. Even in her last few days, very near the end, we were watching an abdominal wound that was large and infected as it slowly but surely healed up. The skin was knitting together despite impending death. That totally floors me.
